Printing Map
Printing a Map
The RTD Map Server allows you to create printable maps of the area in which you
are currently viewing.
Printing
- Select your print format. You can choose from PDF, JPG and GIF. For
printing, PDF is the best format and recommended.
- Enter your title that you would like to appear on the map.
- Click the 'Create Print Map' button on the toolbar.
- Choose your print format. Once the print map has been generated, you can save or print the map.
Notes and Restrictions:
- Maps are only available in 8.5x11 (Letter), in Portrait. At this time it is
not possible to change the size.
- Selected features/buffers/ addresses are not printed on the map. We WILL add this feature in the
future.
- Live Bus Data is printed on maps where available, however due to its transitive nature, it will be only a 'snapshot in time' from the time when the map was generated.
To view PDF documents, you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader from Adobe. You
can download it free of charge from Adobe's website. Also, note that exporting
to PDF causes the RTD logo to have a black background, this is a known bug.
