Maptips (Map Mouse-Over Information)

Some maps tabs may have what are called 'maptips'.  Maptips are simply locations on the map in which if you move your mouse, information is automatically displayed about the item under the mouse.  For instance, on some maps, moving the mouse over a bus stop may display information about the bus stop and allow the user to get further information (such as upcoming schedule) by clicking.

Using Maptips

1. Move your mouse over an item, if a box appears, then the item has a maptip available.  If you move the mouse away, the window closes automatically.
2. Click at the location to keep the maptip open.  You can then move the maptip window around just like the other windows in the application.
3. Click the 'X' to close the maptip.

Notes: Maptips can sometimes be a bit "fussy".  You may have to click an item to get the maptip to show.  This is due to an issue with the underlying software and it should be worked out by the software provider, but may take some time.

Upcoming Bus Schedule by Bus Stop

Bus Schedule Information may be available via maptip by hovering over and clicking on a bus stop.   Clicking the maptip will retrieve the bus schedule for the bus stop.  The next three busses will be displayed for each route, and each direction (if both directions stop at the same stop) for the specified bus stop.  The table is color-coded to allow quick reference as to what type of bus route each upcoming bus is part of.

Notes: At this time, due to technological restrictions, it is not possible to copy and paste a schedule from the maptip window.  Schedule information is not always available for every stop.  We always recommend you consult an official RTD schedule to verify your bus stop and time.

Remember, the schedule was created at the time you clicked the maptip.
